We open to you today, to the spirit that lives and breathes in our bodies. May we quiet our minds and hear the path, the sound of palm on earth, being set before us this morning.
May we feel with every inhale, the wild beauty of life filling the marrow of our bones. With every exhale, the letting go of power, of privilege of separation and seclusion. We are not alone.
May we begin to feel the breaking through, the opening to, your way.
A way less concerned about productivity but awake to presence all around. To the deep churning of tree roots underground, to desert opening to silent sky, to lapping flow of river round bend, is the way that transcends.
It is the way of humility. Of walking slowly. Of listening quickly. Of seeing truly.
Even though we walk through the valley of death, in a world holding and grasping for breath, there is grace, there is wonder, there is resurrection.
So we open ourselves to you today, to the spirit that lives and breathes in our bodies, finding comfort on the back of a donkey, laying down what we do not need for this journey.
Amen.
